Surearly Location-Based Service Terms of Use
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when Sugentech, Inc. (“the Company”) processes location information unavoidably in connection with the Surearly service (“the Service”), such as during the use of Bluetooth functions.
The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights and obligations of users and the responsibilities of the Company regarding such processing.
2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Location Information
2.1. The Company may request access to a device’s location information in order to connect with Bluetooth devices (Surearly Smart Reader) and to ensure proper service operation.
2.2. The Company uses location information solely for the technical purpose of scanning and connecting BLE devices, and not for tracking the user’s actual location.
2.3. The collected location information is not stored nor shared with any third party.
3. Scope of Service Provision
3.1. Granting location access permission may be required for the Bluetooth connection function within the Surearly app to operate properly.
3.2. If a user denies location permission, certain features (e.g., connection with the Surearly Smart Reader) may become limited.
4. User Rights
4.1. Users may modify or revoke location permission at any time through their device settings.
4.2. Even if permission is revoked, users may continue to access basic information and certain service features within the app.
5. Responsibilities and Limitations
5.1. The Company shall not be held liable for any service limitations resulting from a user’s denial or withdrawal of location access.
5.2. The Company does not collect or track users’ movement paths or real-time locations based on location information.
6. Miscellaneous
6.1. Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information and other relevant laws and regulations.
6.2. These Terms shall be deemed an integral part of the general Terms of Service for the Surearly app.
